Reference and comments

Additional information can be added to each line. These include:

  • References – Weekly descriptions with a maximum of 30 characters
  • Weekly comments for an activity
  • Daily comments for an activity
  • Attachments

Depending on your organization, some or all these references may be mandatory.

Weekly description with a 30-character maximum​

This is the field titled Reference. It serves as a description for the line in the current period. There is a 30-character maximum to this field.

Weekly comment for an activity​

To access this comments box, click on the Reference field. The comment bubble tip will move to this field, which can be used to input a general comment for the week. Once text has been entered in this box, a small triangle indicator will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the Reference cell to notify the user and the approver that a comment has been added.

Daily comment for an activity​

To access this comments box, click on the day for which you wish to include additional information. The comment bubble tip will move to this day, and the field can be used to input a general comment for the day and task in question. Once a reference has been included, a small triangle indicator will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the time cell.

Required Information​

In certain cases, it is required to provide a reference or description for each line. In such a case, the icon will appear next to the line in question.
